Booking Asia flights, hotels, trains, and attraction tickets with HopeGoo

HopeGoo is a booking platform, and this page is a Fare & Find guide to using it. Line up the trip first. Open HopeGoo yourself when you want live prices.

Fare & Find may earn a commission if you book or buy through a link on this page. That does not change the price you pay. Affiliate disclosure.

Fare & Find is an independent guide. This page is not HopeGoo, and it is not Tongcheng Travel. It does not sell a ticket, a room, a train seat, or an attraction entry. Nothing here sends you away when the page loads. If you want live schedules and prices, use a button further down. That click leaves this guide and opens HopeGoo. On a phone, HopeGoo's own pages may also invite you to install the HopeGoo app. That prompt belongs to HopeGoo. You can read this guide without installing anything.

HopeGoo, at hopegoo.com, is the international brand of Tongcheng Travel. It is a booking platform for flights, hotels, high-speed trains, ferries, attraction tickets, and local activities. It is especially useful when a trip includes mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, or other parts of Asia. This guide is about the platform, not one attraction, one hotel, or one route. The button opens HopeGoo. The first screen there can be a single activity page. Read the product name on that screen, and use HopeGoo's own navigation if you need a flight, a room, a train, or a different ticket. Fare & Find has no promo code to print for this offer.

HopeGoo's own site and app copy mentions support for more than one language and more than one payment currency. Treat that as their description of the product, then look at the language and the currency on the checkout you actually reach. What you see can depend on the page and the market. This guide cannot see that screen, and it will not guess the list.

Decide the trip before you open a platform

A useful search starts with the days you will travel. Write down the city you need to sleep in, the city you fly into, and the city you leave from if those differ. Then name the ride that connects them: a flight, a high-speed train, a ferry, or the transfer from the airport to the hotel.

Three checks matter more than a long results page.

The place name comes first. Many cities in this part of the world have more than one airport and more than one high-speed rail station. A ticket that says the city name can still leave you an hour from the hotel. Read the airport code or the station name on the itinerary you are about to buy.

The product boundary comes next. A flight, a train, a ferry, and a hotel remain different purchases even when one platform lists them together. A non-refundable room does not become flexible because the train ticket can be changed. Read the rule on each item.

The total for your dates comes last. Fare & Find does not quote a price, a percentage off, or a "from" fare. A number you remember from an advertisement or a previous trip can be gone by the time you search. There is no "cheapest" result this page can guarantee, and there is no countdown. HopeGoo's page is where the current price, taxes, and availability live.

If you already know you want a business or first class cabin, and the rest of the trip can wait, start with the cabin guides instead: how to compare premium flight options and business and first class flights to Asia and the Middle East. Those pages are about the seat and the fare rules. Some of them show an Aran Grant banner and an advertiser code. This page is a different merchant. Leave those codes on those pages. This HopeGoo offer does not use one.

Flights, trains, and ferries

Choose the flight when the distance or the water makes a train a poor fit. Choose the train when the stations sit in the cities you actually need. On many city pairs in mainland China, a high-speed train is the simpler daytime ride, because the station is often closer to the center than the airport. That is a planning habit. It is not a promise that the train will cost less, or take less time, on your date. Compare the clock time, the station, and the bag you have to carry between them.

A ferry is a separate product. A sailing between Hong Kong and Macau uses a terminal, and the last boat is a hard end to the day. If the hotel is across the city from that terminal, add the transfer before you treat the sailing as the whole journey.

Keep the long leg and the same-day transfer in one set of notes, even when you buy them as separate items. A legal flight connection can still be a bad one if you then have to reach a rail station with luggage. Multi-city flight planning and when to book flights cover the flight side of that decision. They do not set HopeGoo's prices.

Hotels, then the rules

Pick the neighborhood for the reason you are in the city. In Tokyo, a hotel near the trains you will ride is a calmer base than a pin that looks central and leaves you with a long walk. The Tokyo hotel guide and the Singapore hotel guide are about that choice. How to compare hotel rates and free-cancellation hotel bookings apply on HopeGoo the same way they apply anywhere else: same dates, same guest count, then the cancellation deadline and what the rate says is included.

HopeGoo can be one place you look for the room. A listing there is not a review written by Fare & Find. Read the room type, the bed, and the recent guest comments on HopeGoo's page. A nightly figure that leaves out a fee you will pay at the property is a different stay from a rate that includes it. Confirm the total before you pay.

Tickets and add-ons are examples, not a price list

HopeGoo lists more than flights and rooms. Airport-express tickets, attraction tickets, rail passes, and SIM or eSIM cards are examples of categories on the platform. Fare & Find cannot price them. This link is not reserved for any one of them.

Example on the platformWhat to confirm on HopeGoo
Airport-express ticketThe airport you land at, the station it serves, and whether the ticket is one way
High-speed train or rail passThe station names, the date, and whether a pass covers the trips you will take
FerryThe terminal, the sailing time, and what happens if you miss the boat
Attraction or activity ticketThe date, any time slot, the meeting point, and whether the price is per person
SIM or eSIMThe days covered, where you can start using it, and how it is delivered
HotelThe room, the cancellation deadline, and the total for your dates

A rail pass helps only when the trips you will take are allowed under its rules. If HopeGoo also lists ordinary tickets for the same rides, compare the two totals on their checkout. This page does not know which one will be lower for your route.

An attraction ticket needs a date you can keep. A category called attraction tickets is not a reservation at a museum, a viewpoint, or a day tour. Open the product, read what is included, and leave it if the date or the meeting point is wrong. Local activities follow the same rule.

A SIM or eSIM is the wrong purchase if it starts the day after you land, or if it skips the city you are in. Read the coverage and the delivery method on the product page. Fare & Find is not describing a named plan, a carrier, or a data allowance.

What the button does

Each button on this page points at /go/cj-hopegoo on Fare & Find. The page stays where it is until you click. After the click, that address opens HopeGoo. The first screen can be one activity or ticket, with HopeGoo's own title in the browser, rather than a blank search for your whole trip. Read the name, the date, and the price on that screen. If it is the wrong product, stay on HopeGoo and look up the flight, hotel, train, ferry, or ticket you actually need. Booking and payment happen on HopeGoo. Fare & Find does not hold a seat or a room, and it does not choose the product that appears first.

On a phone, HopeGoo may also promote the HopeGoo app. Installing it is their optional step. If you would rather stay in the browser, use the path their page offers for that. Fare & Find does not control that screen.

There is no promo code to enter for this offer. If HopeGoo's checkout shows a discount field, leave it empty unless HopeGoo itself displays a code for your dates. A code printed on a different advertiser's banner belongs to that advertiser.

After you continue, compare a short list. Two or three itineraries, or two or three hotels for the same dates, are enough. Check the station or the airport, the cancellation rule, and the total in the currency the checkout charges. Then stop. A longer list rarely changes the decision, and a lower headline that fails one of those checks is a different product.

Search habits for ordinary airfares are in how to find cheaper flights. Use that guide to compare itineraries. It is not a promise about HopeGoo's prices, and this page does not call HopeGoo the lowest price either.

Fare & Find may earn a commission if you book through the partner link. The commission does not change the price you pay. Who publishes this site is on the about page. How the click is tracked is on the affiliate disclosure. Request logs and affiliate cookies are on the privacy policy.
