Las Vegas hotel deals
The resort fee is the story. Compare Strip, downtown, and off-Strip on the total, and expect Friday and Saturday to cost more than the photos suggest.
Fare & Find may earn a commission if you book or buy through a link on this page. That does not change the price you pay. Affiliate disclosure.

Las Vegas advertises a room rate and then charges a resort fee that can be large enough to reorder the list. Compare the total for the nights you want, with the fee included, before you pick a tower because the headline was low.
Weekends are a different market from Sunday through Thursday. A conference or a fight weekend is a third market. If your dates are flexible, the weekday total is where the real deals live.
Center Strip
You want to walk to several resorts in an evening
Add the resort fee. It is rarely optional
Downtown
Fremont Street, lower rates, and a different scene
Budget the ride to the Strip if you will do both
Off-Strip
A room and a pool when you have a car or a show nearby
The saving disappears if every outing is a rideshare

What the fee does not decide
A center-Strip hotel you will walk from is still worth more than a cheap tower that requires a car to reach dinner. Downtown is a good trip if you like that scene. It is not a secret entrance to the same Strip evening for free.
Pools are seasonal in a real way. A January rate that includes a closed pool is fine if you did not come to swim. Do not pay a summer premium for a pool you will use in name only.
